Email from Ania from Mexico
Hi Reza and Craig!
This is Ania from Mexico, how are you guys? I just send (I’m just sending) this e-mail to say thank you for your fabulous podcast! I have been listening to your podcast since last year, every day when I walk the dog!
I moved to London last year with my boyfriend who is not English but Serbian. But he has lived in London for more than 30 years. I like London and I have adapted to life here very well and my first baby was born two months ago here in London.
I’m a biologist and I used to be a High school teacher in my country and I have to say that I have never studied English in my life until now. I’ve been studying English for the last 4 or 5 months but I feel a little bit slow in my learning, for some reason I can understand everything people say but I can’t speak properly I think it’s because the lack of practice (but when I’m alone I can speak fluently and clear. I Don’t know why.
My goal is to do the IELTS exam so I can study my Master(‘s) degree in forensic science. I’m struggling with my reading skills because the questions are tricky for me ?? It stresses me so much that I only have 20 minutes to read, understand and answer the tricky questions, also the writing task with the academic language is difficult for me. I can do it but it took me (a) long long time…!
What do you recommend me to do (I do)?
I like to go to school and it has helped me a lot but almost everything I know about English and vocabulary I have learned with you.
Thanks for everything.
Ania.
PS. I wanted to send a voice message but I couldn’t use speakpipe
A comment on the inglespodcast website from Rosa Davis:

NLP how we learn – visual, auditory and kinesthetic learners
Visual learners: pictures, graphs, whiteboard (65%) – good with maps, good dress
sense and colur co-ordination, doodlers and notetakers.
Auditory: (30%) – good memory for conversations, podcast listeners, chatting, lectures,
dictation, songs, very verbal
Kinesthetic: (5%) – moving and fidgeting in class, need to get up and move, high energy level
