I’ve known Bob for quite a few years, although despite living in the same city, we see very little of one another. So, I was really pleased when we finally got the chance to sit down together and have a cup of tea and a chat about teaching English and the wonderful material and resources Bob has to offer on his website autoenglish.org.

Vocabulary

to bring up = criar, educar (I was brought up in…..)
to end up = acabar en, terminar en, llegar
heart attack = infarto, ataque al corazón
diverse = diverso, variado
to delve into = escarbar, hurgar en, profundizar en
resourses = recursos
turn out = resultar (it’s turned out to be quite popular)
compost heap = montón de compost
goal = meta
a full set = una colección completa
knowledge = conocimiento
fairy tales = cuentos de hadas
abridged (made shorter) = abreviado
break up = romperse, separarse
to get over = recuperarse
