Affordable luxuries

Why is it a good idea to buy small luxuries for yourself?

Spoiling yourself with affordable luxuries is important for several reasons:

  • Self-care and relaxation: unwind, de-stress and feel good.
  • Put you in a good mood: simple pleasures, boost happiness.
  • Enhance the quality of life: make your daily routine more enjoyable.
  • Celebrate achievements: give yourself a reward for things you accomplish (big or small). Gives motivation to reach your goals.
  • Self-expression and personal style: express your unique taste and personality.
  • Express gratitude: It reminds you to appreciate the small joys and find contentment in the present moment.

Ideas
Everyone’s income and budget is different. We all have our own priorities. We’ve made a list of some inexpensive items that you could treat yourself to cheer yourself up.

  • Soap (or any beauty product that you would not usually buy or spend a bit of extra money on)
  • Chocolate, cheese or any of your favourite food – but better quality.
  • Beer & wine
  • Coffee or quality tea – a stylish coffee mug or tea cup to enjoy your beverage even more.
  • A pair of high-quality, comfortable socks for everyday luxury.
  • A quality journal or notebook for writing and reflection.
  • A cozy throw blanket to snuggle up with on chilly evenings.
  • Quality bedding and pillows for a good night’s sleep.
  • A luxurious scented candle to create a relaxing atmosphere.
  • A special day for you. Treat yourself. Do something or go somewhere that will make you happy, even if you do it or go there by yourself, or pamper yourself. (cinema, bike ride, beach, exhibition, concert, spa, massage, manicure/pedicure, etc)
